Triangular (Antiquorum) Pods — also called Euphorbia antiquorum or “triangle pods” — are naturally dried seed pods from the Euphorbia antiquorum plant, native to tropical South America and also sourced from other regions.

Preparation for Aquarium Use

While some sellers ship ready-to-use pods, many hobbyists prepare them to control tannin release and improve sinking:

Boil for ~15 minutes to help them sink and leach initial tannins 

Soak in clean water overnight or longer, changing water daily until fully waterlogged and tannin levels are desired Etsy.

Monitor water conditions when introducing natural botanicals
